Retired policeman's deadbody recovered


Agartala: May 18: Deadbody of a retired policeman recovered today. The incident took place at Dukli market area. The deceased has been identified as Gyan Chandra Mitra. The body was recovered from the house of retired policeman Gyan Chandra Mitra.

It is learned that on Tuesday morning, the family members of Gyan Chandra Mitra informed the Arundhati Nagar police station about the whole matter. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to the morgue. According to the police, the hanging body of the deceased was taken down by the family members before the police reached the spot.

So it will be clear after the autopsy whether it was suicide or murder. However, on the basis of the complaint of the locals, the police arrested Apurba Mitra, son of Gyan Chandra Mitra for questioning and took him to the police station.

Asked about the details from the family, they said that the daughter-in-law of Gyan Chandra Mitra was found hanging at 7 am this morning. But the wife of the deceased did not explicitly mention whether there were any problems in the family. According to locals Gyan Chandra has been hanged after killing.

After retired from his job he running a shop in front of the house. But the locals think that the murder may have happened due to family disputes.
